Spotify allows you and your friends to share a playlist that you own. The collaborative playlist feature helps different users to merge their music tastes. It is excellent for suggesting music you like to your friends and family through the songs you add. This is also perfect for road trips, vacations, workouts, parties, etc.
Aside from the many advantages, this feature has had a few issues. Initially, anyone could just join and add songs they liked. Some bots took advantage of this flaw to spam playlists.
The streaming service has upgraded the platform to include certain features to help users to manage their collaborative playlists better. It is now possible to make them private. You can then invite those you want to join.
In addition to inviting users, you can remove those you no longer want to be part of the playlist.
The steps below will capture how to add and remove collaborators to your playlists.
