Is Spotify Sustainable for Artists?

The Ministry of Sound’s CEO in London criticized Spotify recently.

Unlike other companies, if Spotify doesn’t make it to balancing the company’s revenue, it’s in danger. This also raises a red flag for the artists since their work is at stake. To have a better cash flow, Spotify has to ensure that its profit is increased. A significantly more number of subscribers will make it easier for Spotify to survive well in the streaming world.

Though, researchers claim that listening on Spotify has become more these days compared to the previous years. More people have shifted to listening on Spotify. However, there are still chances of a breakdown.

If we take a view from the user’s point of view, it is evident that Spotify is being loved by all its users, be they premium or standard. However, sustainability is also affected from the artist’s viewpoint. Many artists complain about not getting enough payment that they deserve from Spotify. This makes artists leave the platform. However, Spotify, on the other hand, is struggling as well. Therefore, Spotify still has a great chance of losing in the coming years.
